I recently purchased a mosin nagant 91/30 and I've looked several places online but cant seem to get a retail price all are out of stock. I purchased the gun, bayonet, and a large black garabage bag full of ammo for $150. Just curious as to if anyone knows the value right off.

Do all the numbers match? There should be numbers on the bolt, butt, trigger guard maybe the bayonet and stock. The arsenal and year from which it was made influences price too. For 150 you did good.

I still remember when you could walk out with one for $30. Now-a-days if in halfway decent condition they seem to be $250-$300 lately.

Finnish Mosins usually go for a lot more then the Russia/Soviet ones. Depending on model and condition $400-$800

I bought my first mosin at a gun store for $89.00 and my first sks for $140.00. I can't believe the prices nowadays. I think it was about three years ago I made money when I sold my last two mosins for $125 each. now I wish I hadn't. Numbers matching or not, you can surely double your money on the mosin especially with the ammunition. Look on Armslist.com to see what people are asking for them locally.

So did ya ever get that range day in? I love to shoot one late in the afternoon. The fireball is impressive!
