I went to Shooter's Supply today. They are having a going out of business sale. Everything is 10-25% off and their prices weren't so bad to begin with. They still had a pretty good inventory of stuff. Not sure if they are permanently closing, moving, doing internet sales, or what but I hate to see any gun business close down. I guess it is the future way of retail, someday everything will be through the net. Anyways, I'm going to hold out a couple more weeks to see if they drop prices a little more and try to load up on some powder.

Just left there. While their prices were always on the high side, I did buy a box of Berger 168 Gr Classic Hunters in .308 cal, and a set of electronic hearing protectors. Even at discount, I only saved about $7.
Suppressors and SBRs are 1/2 off, there are some deals there.
    Your mileage may vary.

    High prices
    Lousy selection
    Rude and arrogant staff

    Did I leave anything out?

Well, I thought that might have had something to do with it. 15 years ago they had more guns, but prices were still pretty steep. AFAIK they were the only shop in Louisville where you could buy powder in 8lb jugs or primers by the case, so I will miss that.

Wonder how you buy a silencer from a shop that's closing down, considering the paperwork has been taking almost a year?

I haven't been in a a few weeks. No money so no reason to go. I have hear they will not lower the prices any more. They dump everything in gunbroker once they are close to closing.

Gander Mountain had high prices on their guns, and is closing also. Let's face it, the internet has brought this on and retail stores have no choice but to adopt new strategies to survive.
